With my work this year, I plan to be a bit more subtle and refined. I’m interested in creating a whimsical aesthetic. I’d like to use a more natural colour palette & focus on creating textures with pencils and paint.

Having fun with colour and shapes !
My usual style is to use as many colours as possible, but I think this limited pastel colour range is kind of cute ?
On the 31st of January this year, I decided to do a 100 day painting challenge. This is the result of day 1 to 20.
These are my first two prismacolor pencils in ‘neon orange’ & ‘neon pink’ Here is my first sketch using them, although colours look more neon in real life.

I had a bit of nostalgic fun sketching the characters from one of my favourite books growing up “Grunt, the monster who wouldn’t eat his vegetables” I adore the illustrations of Michael Salmon and Grunt is so sneaky feeding his vegetables to the cat and dog hahaha!
The month that was – There were countless sunny autumn days that were enjoyed, all the plants in the garden were happy to be soaking up the warmth as well ( just look at those delicious oranges ! ).
