Having fun with colour and shapes !
My usual style is to use as many colours as possible, but I think this limited pastel colour range is kind of cute ?
The Snuebs are friendly little creatures that love to eat fruit 🍇
I’ve just listed these new stickers on etsy ! The original illustrations were created using acrylic paint then scanned & digitally edited to create these stickers.
Size – 5.5cm x 8.5cm
A loose representation of Australian flora .
Sketchin’ & inkin’ . I used daiso ink for the background on the right. I have to say it’s amazing ink and it’s only $2.80 for a whole bottle 😮
I’ve started a new challenge on my Instagram @jessfreemanillustration . It’s a fun tiny house drawing challenge . There are so many cool houses to draw like a snow globe house & haunted house. Eek ! So excited to draw them all ! This one is a floating house .Definitely worth checking out the challenge if you love drawing . You can find it on @ghost_puff Instagram page 😊😊😊
A page from one of my current sketchbooks.
It is french inspired & very pink !
On the 31st of January this year, I decided to do a 100 day painting challenge. This is the result of day 1 to 20.
These are my first two prismacolor pencils in ‘neon orange’ & ‘neon pink’
Here is my first sketch using them, although colours look more neon in real life.
I really love these colours together !
I’m sure that I will be using this palette of colours again in the near future 😍
I spent most of May using my new liquitex acrylic paint set. I really love all the colours in the collection, I can’t pick a favourite haha !
I used them in my sketchbooks here. The top little sketchbook is a tea journal. I like to keep tea bag packaging from tea bags my pen pals have sent me in here !
The bottom sketchbook is my ideas journal, it’s bits and pieces of things that inspire me .
A little tiger in my sketchbook. I used some lovely printed card from flow magazine for his shirt.
Summer vibes on the 2nd day of winter !
I had a bit of nostalgic fun sketching the characters from one of my favourite books growing up “Grunt, the monster who wouldn’t eat his vegetables” I adore the illustrations of Michael Salmon and Grunt is so sneaky feeding his vegetables to the cat and dog hahaha!
The month that was – There were countless sunny autumn days that were enjoyed, all the plants in the garden were happy to be soaking up the warmth as well ( just look at those delicious oranges ! ). I completed my 100 day painting challenge, there were lots of animals in top hats . Giant ant ornaments and bobbly birds made a new home in the garden. In true Agatha Christie style, Crooked house kept me guessing right till the end with who the killer was & cozy warm winter socks were found at Daiso.
I always try a new paint pen when I see one. Actually any pen really… I mean I’m completely addicted to buying pens, I went away for a few days an ended up buying 11 new pens haha ! Who does that ?! Any way this was created with Micador aqua painters ( spring collection) . They’re really good paint pens !!
I can’t wait to try all the colours.
My obsession with drawing little buildings. This time I decided to draw little shopfronts. I really enjoyed drawing these and I think I’ll be drawing a lot more of them.
Lately I’ve really enjoyed drawing animals and cute little houses.
I feel that you can really let your imagination run wild when you are drawing little houses. There are no rules, you can have as many windows and decorations as you like .
I also enjoy drawing animals, so I can dress them up in funky clothes 🙂
